Spune me: Don't shoot your wad at the ACL Fest this September, as Spune Productions Wall of Sound Festival is slated for the weekend after (Saturday, September 22, to be exact). In their ever-teasing ways, the Spune-ites are revealing the lineup in a series of announcements rather than all at once. First round confirmees: Explosions in the Sky, Midlake, Ghostland Observatory, Pinback, The Books, The Sword, Bobby Bare Jr. , Brothers and Sisters, Eleven Hundred Springs, Lymbyc System, Baptist Generals, Timeout Drawer, Peter and the Wolf, Black Tie Dynasty, White Denim, OM and the Weary Boys. The fest will smush 40 bands into one day and three stages at Fort Worth's LaGrave Field, home of the minor-league baseball team the Fort Worth Cats (luv them Cats!). Check www.wallofsoundfestival.com or www.spune.com for more details. Tickets are available at Good Records, Bill's Records and CD World, and are on sale now.
