Dallas' very own school of rock, Zounds Sounds, will once again show off their rock band students this Friday. The music school, which has some of the city's best performers employed as instructors, imparts its wisdom to a new generation of musicians and puts on a rock show twice a year to show off the young talent. This time, Zounds will host an '80s-themed rock-cital, and if the previous shows are any indication, the city will soon be swamped with musicians who have honed their ability to rock and rule. Come see the musicians of the future rock to music from the past 9 p.m. Friday at City Tavern, 1402 Main St. Call 214-745-1402.
