Bob Lee Swagger returns in Stephen Hunter's latest novel, Night of Thunder. It's a lot like Days of Thunder, only with Bobby Lee Swagger instead of Tom Cruise. Also, Bobby Lee doesn't race cars. He kills people. Back in Vietnam, people knew him as Bob the Nailer because of his legendary sniper kills. In Night of Thunder, the former Marine sniper comes looking for answers when his journalist daughter ends up in a coma after a failed attempt on her life. His investigation brings him face to face with a host of bizarre and naughty villains such as Sinnerman. Fittingly, the big showdown takes place at a week-long NASCAR event where Bob "the Nailer" Swagger opens up a big can of whoop-ass. Stephen Hunter will sign copies of the book at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Borders, 10720 Preston Road. For more information call 214-363-1977.
